Whenever the lotus blooms, enveloped in its fragrant and vibrant beauty, it evokes the spirit of the renowned Impressionist painter Claude Monet and his beloved 'Water Lilies.' His artistry, particularly his mastery of capturing light, has always intrigued me. Just as Monet found inspiration in the serene water lilies, I too am captivated by their allure. Painting water lilies allows me to embrace the tranquility they embody, mirroring the calm amidst life's chaos. This marks my second time painting water lilies. Unlike the first, when I had to take the subway to Central Park, this time I drove to Wave Hill. I find myself wishing for a small pond in my backyard so that I can appreciate and paint water lilies whenever I desire.
